Sometimes planning decisions don't go the way you'd hoped. Whether your planning permit has been refused by council, or you've received a permit but a neighbour has lodged an objection, you have the right to seek a nreview at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).

When to Consider a VCAT Appeal

  • Your planning permit application has been refused by council

  • Council has failed to decide your application within the statutory timeframe

  • You want to challenge conditions placed on your permit

  • A third party has objected to a permit granted to you

It's important to understand that not every refusal should be appealed. Before proceeding, we'll give you an honest assessment of your prospects - including the likely costs, timeframe, and the strength of your case. If we don't think an appeal is likely to succeed, we'll tell you.
